We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Legal Assistant Location: Abuja (FCT) Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary The Legal Assistant will provide legal and administrative support to the Legal Department by preparing legal documents, conducting legal research, maintaining legal records, facilitating property documentation, and ensuring compliance with relevant real estate laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities: Conduct legal research on real estate, corporate, and regulatory matters. Monitor the status of legal cases and property documentation to ensure timely follow-up. Support dispute resolution processes and litigation management where required. Assist in drafting, reviewing, and proofreading legal documents, including contracts, leases, deeds, tenancy agreements, memoranda, and other property-related agreements. Assist in ensuring the company's compliance with applicable real estate laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Perform other legal and administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Legal. Maintain and organize legal files, property records, contracts, and litigation documents. Coordinate execution and safe custody of legal agreements. Support the preparation and processing of land documentation, title perfection, property registration, Governor's Consent, and other statutory approvals. Prepare legal reports, correspondence, and meeting minutes. Liaise with government agencies, regulatory bodies, courts, and external solicitors on legal matters. Requirements: Strong knowledge of Nigerian property law, land documentation processes, and corporate legal practice. Strong organizational and document management abilities. Bachelor's Degree (LL.B) in Law. Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and research skills. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 2–4 years of post-qualification experience: as a Legal Assistant, Legal Officer, or similar role, preferably within the real estate industry. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Added Advantage: Familiarity with CAC compliance and corporate governance requirements.
