We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Head, Finance Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Reports To: Managing Director Job Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective financial controls, statutory and regulatory compliance, budgeting and forecasting, audit coordination, and overall integrity of the company’s financial records. The role will also provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to Management to support sound decision-making and sustainable growth within the microfinance sector. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Accounts to lead the company’s accounting and financial management functions. Key Responsibilities: Ensure timely compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements. Monitor financial performance and provide relevant financial analysis. Supervise account reconciliations and financial transactions. Monitor accounting systems and ensure effective internal financial controls. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Coordinate internal and external audit activities. Maintain accurate, transparent, and properly documented financial records. Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and microfinance regulatory requirements. Provide strategic financial advice and recommendations to Management. Oversee the company’s accounting and financial management functions. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, ICAN, or CFA is mandatory. High level of integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail. Strong analytical, financial management, and problem-solving skills. Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, taxation, and regulatory requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities. 8–10 years’ relevant audit/accounting experience, with strong experience: in the microfinance or financial services sector.
