Read more about this company Personal Banking Officer Job Type Full Time Qualification BA/BSc/HND Experience Location Abuja Job Field Banking Role Description The Personal Banking Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Abuja, responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of individual customers. This role involves onboarding new customers, conducting account opening and KYC processes, and providing tailored advice on savings, loans, and other retail banking products. The Personal Banking Officer will handle daily customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive branch experience across physical and digital channels. The role includes cross-selling appropriate financial products, monitoring account activity, and supporting customers with digital banking tools. The Personal Banking Officer will collaborate closely with branch and operations teams to ensure compliance, accurate documentation, and achievement of sales and service targets. Qualifications Strong foundation in Finance, Personal Banking, and Financial Planning, with the ability to recommend suitable retail banking products and solutions. Proven Customer Service and Communication skills, with a customer-centric mindset and the ability to build trust-based relationships. Prior experience in retail or microfinance banking, or a related financial services environment, is highly desirable. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Comfort with digital banking platforms and basic MS Office tools; ability to learn new fintech applications quickly. Strong attention to detail, integrity in handling confidential information, and commitment to regulatory and internal compliance standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and collaborate effectively within a diverse team.
