We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager Location : Port Harcourt, Rivers Employment Type: Permanent - Contract Summary The position is based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. We invite you to join us on a permanent contract. Responsibilities: The position we are offering involves the following main responsibilities: QA/QC Activity: Identify and develop solutions to correct inspection function deficiencies; Establish service standards for end users (internal department or external customer); Manage construction processes, plant equipment, inspection and NDE personnel certification and QMS internal audits. Develop and implement risk-based inspection (RBI) activities and processes; Plan duties within the QA/QC staff and related work schedules; Take full responsibility for hold-point releases once all QMS functions have been completed and the equipment is ready to go into the next work stage. Manage inspection, NDE, and testing plans for new construction, repair work, and alterations; Manage and oversee project quality to ensure compliance to codes, standards, regulations, equipment specifications, and QMS requirement; Manage the development and implementation of the QMS for planning, fabrication, inspection, documentation, and operations activities including: Improve quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization; Oversee supervision of all visual inspections and NDE, including 3rd party subcontractors; Identify and develop QA/QC personnel certification requirements: and continuing education/training needs; Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction of all QA/QC personnel; Manage plant integrity through a failure analysis reporting system and following up on recommendations; Welding Activity: set up and control and maintenance of a welder data base. responsible for the coordination of multiple projects and manage external test laboratories : classify societies and notify bodies with regard to welding procedures their approvals and testing; analyse welding requirements: for specific projects ensuring the any already approved in house procedures are acceptable and generate new procedures specific to project requirements: and needs; coordinate failure analyses and root cause analysis on welding related issues if required; provide technical support with industry standards and specifications such as ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, AWS, BS EN, plus any other relevant standards which may be required; manage all welding procedures and qualifications and testing; manage and control of all materials and consumables for welder testing and procedures; Profile Wanted Professional English is mandatory for the position.
