We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Primary 2 Class Teacher Location: Benin City, Edo About the Role We are seeking a passionate, creative, and highly motivated Primary 2 Class Teacher with a strong knowledge of Mathematics to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across the Primary 2 curriculum while ensuring pupils develop a solid foundation in numeracy, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Key Responsibilities: Perform other duties assigned by the school management. Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment. Participate in school meetings, professional development programmes, and extracurricular activities. Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and instructional materials. Assess pupils' academic progress through classwork, assignments, tests, and examinations. Keep accurate records of attendance, assessments, and pupils' progress. Develop engaging and interactive mathematics lessons that build pupils' confidence and competence. Communicate regularly with parents regarding pupils' academic performance and development. Identify pupils requiring additional support in Mathematics and implement appropriate intervention strategies. Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum. Teach all Primary 2 subjects, with particular emphasis on Mathematics. Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of NCE, B.Ed., B.Sc./B.A., or an equivalent qualification in Education: or a related field. At least 2 years of teaching experience: in a primary school (preferred). Experience: preparing pupils for internal and external assessments is an added advantage. Strong knowledge of the Nigerian Primary School Curriculum. Demonstrated competence in teaching Primary Mathematics. Skills and Competencies: Ability to simplify mathematical concepts for young learners. Creativity in lesson planning and instructional delivery. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent knowledge of Mathematics and effective teaching strategies. Good interpersonal and teamwork skills. Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
