Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an International Private non-governmental, non-profit, humanitarian organization created in 1971. We offer medical assistance to population in distress, victims of natural or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflicts irrespective of race, religion, creed or political affiliation. Médecins Sans Frontières observes neutrality and impartiality in the name of universal medical ethics and the right to humanitarian assistance and demands full and unhindered freedom in the exercise of its functions. MSF works in over 70 countries globally and has been working continuously in Nigeria since 1996. Médecins Sans Frontières West and Central Africa -(MSF-WaCA) is currently operating in 5 countries of Africa. In Nigeria we are present in two states: Cross river (Southern part of the country) and Kano (Northern part of the country). We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Storekeeper Location: Bauchi Employment Type: Full-time Main Purpose Executing the stock management activities (receipt, storage, and issuance to projects or other departments of medical supplies, food items, spare parts, tools, equipment and/ or other logistics materials), according to the line manager’s instructions and MSF standards and protocols, in order to ensure the overall functioning of MSF activities. Job Description Ensure implementation of standard storage processes and procedures in the warehouse for Logistic and Medical materials as per MSF standards. Follow up stock transactions in Unified database: reception, picking, packing, etc. Responsible for regular reception of upcoming cargoes to warehouse (International, regional, local), by checking accompanying standard documents, like: copies of Purchase orders, delivery orders, waybills, Donation or LOAN certificates. In case of any issues reporting to WHS or WHM. Replenish supply inventories following established guidelines during the quarterly order. Ensuring proper storage of goods following the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method. Performing delegated tasks according to his / her activity and as specified in his/her job description. Ensure that freight manifests and waybills are prepared for all items sent for repair, replacement, or similar purposes. Ensure a proper handover is conducted with your replacement prior to going on leave. Verify that the store is securely locked at the end of each working day. Ensure proper packing of Logistic and Medical materials before shipment, labelling and separation by projects, allocation in RTS as per projects. Participate for regular Inventories of Medical and Logistic stock locations, ensure that stock is arranged before each planned counting. Ensure labelling boxes/ items with correct code and description for easier identification. To be able to be doing a backup for the purchasing officer position. Ensure the conformity of products received and delivered are match the quality and quantity. Requirements: Education: Literacy essential, Certification or Degree in Warehouse or Supply Chain Management is an asset. Experience: Previous experience: as storekeeper desirable. Languages: English and Hausa language are essential. Knowledge: Essential basic mathematics and use of measuring equipment. Desirable computer literacy (word, excel).
