We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Livelihood Officer-1 Opening Locations: Daura, Charanchi, and Batagarawa - Katsina Employment Type: Contract Background The Livelihood Officer will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of livelihoods activities aimed at enhancing income generation, vocational skills, entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and economic recovery among project beneficiaries. The project seeks to improve the resilience, self-reliance, and economic well-being of vulnerable households through sustainable livelihood interventions. Purpose of the Position To coordinate and implement livelihood interventions that promote economic empowerment, sustainable income generation, and resilience-building for vulnerable individuals, households, and communities across Katsina State. Key Responsibilities: Livelihoods Programming: Facilitate vocational skills development, entrepreneurship, and income-generating activities. Conduct livelihood assessments, market surveys, and beneficiary needs assessments. Support the design and implementation of livelihood and economic empowerment activities. Support beneficiary selection and verification processes in accordance with project criteria. Beneficiary Support and Capacity Building: Promote financial literacy and business management practices. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to beneficiaries on livelihood opportunities. Organize and facilitate livelihood skills training and business development sessions. Support formation and strengthening of savings groups, cooperatives, and producer groups. Market Linkages and Economic Inclusion: Facilitate linkages between beneficiaries, markets, financial institutions, and service providers. Promote access to business opportunities, inputs, and productive assets. Support value chain development and local economic recovery initiatives. Community Engagement and Coordination: Promote inclusive participation of women, youth, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups. Engage community leaders and stakeholders in livelihood activities. Coordinate with relevant government departments and development partners. Monitoring and Reporting; Document lessons learned and best practices. Collect and report livelihood-related data and success stories. Monitor livelihood activities and beneficiary progress. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and activity reports. Qualifications and Experience: Strong facilitation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills. Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Economics, Business Administration, Community Development, Development Studies, Agricultural Extension, or a related field.
