Read more about this company QA/QC Engineer (Road Construction) Job Type Full Time Qualification BA/BSc/HND Experience: 3 - 5 years Location Lagos Job Field Construction and Site Engineering , Engineering / Technical Salary Range ₦300,000 - ₦400,000/month Salary: 300k to 350k Net Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plans, procedures, and inspection processes for road construction projects. Ensure all construction activities comply with project specifications, engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and client quality expectations. Conduct site inspections and coordinate material testing to verify compliance with approved quality standards. Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, quality reports, and other QA/QC documentation. Identify quality non-conformances, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Liaise with consultants, clients, laboratories, and project teams on all quality-related matters. Monitor subcontractors and suppliers to ensure materials and workmanship meet project specifications. Maintain accurate quality records, test results, inspection reports, and compliance documentation. Mentor and guide site engineers and project teams on quality standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support project delivery by ensuring quality objectives are achieved without compromising safety, cost, or schedule. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience: in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within the construction industry, with significant experience: on road and highway construction projects. Professional registration with relevant bodies such as COREN, NSE, or other recognized professional institutions is an added advantage. Strong knowledge of road construction specifications, material testing standards, quality management systems, and industry best practices. Experience: in asphalt works, concrete works, earthworks, pavement construction, drainage systems, and laboratory testing procedures. Proficiency in quality documentation, inspection processes, audits, and reporting. Familiarity with ISO 90001 Quality Management Systems and other relevant quality standards is highly desirable.
