We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Crane and Lifting Equipment Specialist Location : Lagos, Nigeria The Opportunity We are seeking a Crane and Lifting Equipment Specialist to join a major GMC (General Maintenance Contract) project in Nigeria. Job Purpose This job is created to provide technical and economic leadership in the inspection, maintenance and reliability of cranes and lifting equipment according to safety standards. Job Dimensions To ensure operational engineering processes, inspection and maintenance are efficiently carried out in strict compliance with safety policies and procedures on all lifting and marine equipment To ensure crane and lifting equipment support as technical authority to the DW field operations in accordance with Company rules and statutory regulation. To analyse crane maintenance activities and lifting equipment performance from the technical and economic perspective and take action necessary to achieve company set objectives regarding efficiency, cost optimization and savings. To provide Marine lifting equipment support to Maintenance Operations Mechanical Static team when required To ensure cranes and lifting equipment reliability and availability according to safety standards. Activities Ensure the implementation and assurance of Company integrity management system compliance. To prepare all methods support and implementation of practice documents regarding preventative maintenance, inspection, and testing to be performed on AKPO & EGINA cranes and lifting equipment based on recognized best practice and applicable regulations. Co-ordinate planned crane maintenance activities fleet-wide in conjunction with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Support DW TUPNI asset installations for all related crane issues (specifically for new cranes, specification for upgrades and heavy lift works on cranes). To prepare and develop specifications for new cranes and lifting equipment based on recognized international standards. Follow spare parts stocks with Warehouse and Procurement. Liaise with crane manufacturers when required. Participate in and/or lead investigations for all crane related incidents across the fleet. Liaise with classification societies/third party design offices where applicable. Manage specialized crane maintenance vendors interventions and contracts (Liebherr, Sparrow, National Oilwell Varco etc.) within SCM frame agreements (including technical scope of work) where applicable. Interface with DW INSPECTION Department for all crane related issues. Supervision until completion of 5-years major overhauls in all DW installations cranes (based on Contractor/OEM and CPLO reports). In Charge For all cranes: To assist sites with routine troubleshooting, local emergency procurements and repair optimization to reduce equipment downtime. To coach and train junior engineers in all aspects related to the maintenance of cranes and lifting equipment Review/Produce Maintenance Plan as per Vendor recommendations Review/Correct/Create corrected BOMs in SAP, establish MRP parameters For all Hoist Winches: Review/Produce actual Maintenance Plan Ensure equipment are certified by third parties. Context and Environment FPSOs are located offshore (40 KM) and Onshore. Deal closely with TotalEnergies EP Nigeria (TUPNI) field operations in maintenance, procurement, construction, projects,and logistics. Progress competency level of staff working in Cranes and Lifting Equipment section. Externally to deal with Nigerian partners and equipment OEM. Striving to achieve cost saving and best value for money in Cranes and Lifting Equipment maintenance activities. Closely monitor developments in relevant local and international business environment Accountabilities Within the framework of DW Field Operations (AKPO-EGINA), the main objectives are, in the field of Cranes and lifting equipment, to: To ensure all engineering processes, inspection and maintenance are efficiently carried out in strict compliance with safety policies and procedures on all lifting equipment. To ensure lifting support as technical authority to DW Field Operations efficiently and in accordance with Company Rules, To ensure the reliability and availability targets of DW lifting equipment are according to Company HSE standards. To analyze mechanical maintenance activities and lifting equipment performance from the technical and economic perspective and takes the action necessary to achieve company set objectives regarding efficiency, cost optimization and savings. Statutory rules and regulation in order to assure the oil and gas production targets within the estimated budget. HSE Objectives: Familiarize self with TUPNI emergency procedures, carry out assigned responsibilities: safely and report any incident, unsafe act or operation. Demonstrate personal commitment to HSE policy. Develop derogation dossiers, HSE audits and participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) related to discipline. Take appropriate action to close out Downgraded Situation (DGS) relating to cranes and lifting equipment including the useof SYNERGI to update status. Ensure that contractors mobilized to offshore locations comply with COMPANY standard with respect to procedures and HSE training requirements. Ensure all personnel under his/her supervision are well trained and aware of their HSE responsibilities: with continuous monitoring. Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company HSE standards. Additional Information: Contract Duration: Initial 18-month assignment with strong potential for extension on a long-term project. Work Arrangement: Residential position with the flexibility of a rotational schedule (12 weeks on-site / 4 weeks off), offering an excellent work-life balance. Start Date: ASAP Requirements: Team management, analytical and organizational skills. Computer literacy and knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP) is an advantage. Proficiency in English language. Formal education: B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering (2.1).
