We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Accountant Locations: Ado-Ekiti - Ekiti (Head Office), Onitsha - Anambra, and Ipaja - Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Slots: 4 Job Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring income and expenses, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring that accounting procedures and financial controls are properly followed. We are looking for a competent, detail-oriented, and highly organized Accountant to manage the company’s financial records, transactions, reporting, and accounting operations. Key Responsibilities: Assist with budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, and financial planning. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, tax, and financial regulations. Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and other financial transactions. Support the preparation of information required for audits. Monitor company expenses and ensure proper documentation and authorization. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting entries. Track customer payments and follow up on outstanding balances when required. Maintain confidentiality of company financial information. Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records. Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Perform other accounting duties as assigned by management. Assist with payroll preparation and other financial obligations. Reconcile bank statements, customer accounts, supplier accounts, and other ledger accounts. Identify accounting discrepancies, unusual transactions, and potential financial risks. Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other accounting documents. Work closely with management and other departments to provide accurate financial information for decision-making. Requirements: & Qualifications Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Must be willing to relocate to the assigned work location where applicable. Minimum of 3 years’ core accounting experience. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. ICAN certification or professional qualification is an added advantage. Good knowledge of account reconciliation, bookkeeping, payables, receivables, and cash management. Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Experience: in the building materials, trading, distribution, or haulage industry will be an added advantage. Good communication and organizational skills.
