We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Managing Director Location: Yaba, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Position Overview The Managing Director is a senior executive responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction in managing the financial, accounting, and risk operations of the company. This role is pivotal in ensuring regulatory compliance, safeguarding assets, enhancing corporate governance, and steering the company toward sustainable growth. As a member of the C-Suite, the Managing Director will work closely with the Board of Directors to set the company’s vision, build risk management frameworks, oversee accounting and financial reporting, and ensure efficient deployment of resources through technology-enabled solutions such as BankOne, Finnacle etc. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Provide overall leadership and direction for financial management, risk control, and governance functions. Oversee execution of strategic initiatives in line with the company’s vision and growth objectives. Work with the Board to define corporate strategies and translate them into actionable business and financial plans. Risk Management & Compliance: Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive risk management frameworks covering credit, operational, market, and liquidity risks. Conduct stress testing, scenario analysis, and risk-adjusted return assessments. Advise the Board on emerging risks, mitigation strategies, and regulatory changes affecting the business. Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g. CBN, FRCN, etc). Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with regulators, investors, auditors, banks, and other key stakeholders. Provide the Board with actionable insights on market trends, investment opportunities, and risk exposures. Represent the company in high-level meetings, industry forums, and with government/regulatory bodies. Governance & Internal Controls: Establish and enforce robust corporate governance, internal control systems, and ethical standards. Ensure accountability, transparency, and efficiency across business units. Drive compliance culture across the organization. Qualifications In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, corporate governance, and investment management. 10-15 years of progressive work experience: in a finance Company, /or risk management, with at least 10 years at executive/C-suite level in finance/investment Proven in-depth expertise in the use of Banking software such as BankOne, Finnacle, Flexcube etc. Professional certifications: CIBN, ICAN or its equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree/HND Degree in Finance, or relevant field (Master’s Degree or MBA will be an added advantage).
