Responsibilities: Equipment Calibration: Set up, clean, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments (like pH meters, balances, and spectrophotometers). Quality Compliance: Follow Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and food safety guidelines like HACCP. Report Generation: Flag out-of-specification results to the QA team and help write quality deviation reports. Reagent Preparation: Prepare chemical solutions, standards, and reagents needed for daily laboratory assays. Sample Testing: Conduct physical and chemical tests (such as pH, moisture, acidity, protein content, and viscosity) on raw ingredients and final products. Data Recording: Log test results accurately in laboratory notebooks or digital databases like a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Qualifications and Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science and Technology, or Industrial Chemistry.
