We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Clearing Specialist (2–3 years of experience) Location: Ilupeju, Lagos Job Objective(s) The role is responsible for monitoring clearing activities, supporting reconciliation, investigating transaction exceptions, resolving basic processing issues, and escalating complex issues appropriately to ensure reliable clearing and settlement services. To provide operational and technical support for the organization’s clearing and settlement platforms, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions. Duties & Responsibilities: Support system testing, upgrades, enhancements, deployments, and other approved changes affecting clearing and settlement platforms. Monitor transaction flows, system interfaces, processing queues, and system logs to identify potential technical or operational issues. Monitor daily clearing transactions and platform activities to ensure accurate and timely processing. Adhere to established operational procedures, service level agreements, security requirements, and applicable clearing and payment industry regulations. Provide first-level technical and operational support for clearing and settlement platforms and escalate complex issues to the appropriate technical teams. Maintain accurate records of incidents, exceptions, reconciliations, and resolutions, and prepare routine operational reports. Collaborate with internal Technology, Operations, Finance, and other relevant teams to resolve transaction and clearing-related issues. Assist with daily transaction reconciliation across clearing systems and internal platforms, escalating unresolved discrepancies for further investigation. Support daily clearing and settlement activities, including transaction validation, file processing, settlement preparation, and confirmation. Identify, investigate, and resolve basic transaction exceptions, failed transactions, rejects, reversals, and processing discrepancies. Key Performance Indicators As agreed from time to time based on business exigencies. Job Requirements: Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (BSc. / B.Eng / HND.) in any of the following: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Network Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, Cyber security, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Systems, Information Technology or a related discipline.
