Maintain accurate records and documentation for all financial transactions We are seeking a skilled and professional Accountant to join our organisation in Benin City, Nigeria. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws and financial reporting requirements: Conduct regular internal audits to identify and address any financial discrepancies Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies Qualifications Proficiency in accounting software Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards Advanced Excel skills and strong mathematical aptitude Closeness to school is an added advantage.
