Manage and oversee financial operations, planning, and controls to ensure accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong financial performance in support of business objectives Responsibilities: Project Finance & Capex Management (Pre-Commissioning): Prepare project finance dashboards and capex utilization reports for management review. Support project close-out activities, asset creation, and transition to operations. Monitor Capital Work-in-Progress (CWIP) and support timely capitalization of completed assets. Partner with Engineering, Procurement, and Project teams to ensure accurate project cost reporting. Review spending against approved budgets and provide variance analysis. Maintain the project capex tracker and monitor all project expenditures. Ensure compliance with approval limits, Delegation of Authority (DOA), and capitalization policies. Track commitments, purchase orders, advances, and actual costs across project workstreams. Plant Finance Leadership (Post-Commissioning): Lead month-end close and prepare timely MIS reports. Manage plant accounting activities and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, SOPs, and statutory requirements. Monitor manufacturing costs and perform variance analysis to support operational performance. Inventory, Assets & Governance: Coordinate asset tagging, physical verification, transfers, and disposals. Ensure compliance with capitalization and depreciation policies. Monitor inventory controls and analyse ageing, slow-moving, and obsolete stock. Lead inventory counts, reconciliations, variance reviews, and corrective action plans. Ensure timely capitalization of completed assets and projects. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent Qualified member of ICAN (Chartered Accountant, Nigeria). Post-qualification experience: of 5 – 8 years. Experience: in a Greenfield/Brownfield project environment. Experience: in manufacturing, FMCG, agribusiness, or industrial operations.
