We are seeking a qualified and patient-focused Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of common eye conditions. Responsibilities: Perform appropriate clinical tests and interpret results. Ensure compliance with clinical standards, hospital policies, and professional guidelines. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals. Prescribe spectacles, contact lenses, and other appropriate visual aids. Diagnose and manage refractive errors and common ocular conditions. Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Participate in health promotion and community eye-care initiatives when required. Identify eye conditions requiring referral to an ophthalmologist or other specialists. Provide patient education: on eye health, hygiene, and preventive care. Requirements: Education: Bachelor of Optometry (OD) or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution. Must be registered with the relevant professional regulatory body in Nigeria. Fresh graduates with strong clinical competence may also be considered. Experience: in a hospital, eye clinic, or healthcare setting will be an added advantage. 1–2 years of relevant clinical experience: is preferred. Other Requirements: Applicants must be resident in or willing to relocate to Benin City, Edo State. Must be willing to work according to the hospital's schedule and operational requirements.
