The Job Maintain accurate records of repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance activities performed on vehicles. Ensure all assigned vehicles are repaired and maintained in accordance with approved workshop and manufacturer standards. Adhere strictly to workplace safety procedures, quality standards, and environmental regulations. Inspect, test, and maintain vehicle electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, batteries, alternators, and starter motors. Install, replace, and upgrade electrical components and accessories as required. Carry out preventive maintenance on electrical systems to minimize vehicle breakdowns and downtime. Diagnose and repair electrical faults on trucks, trailers, and tractors using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment. Troubleshoot and repair electronic control systems and electrical components on diesel-powered vehicles. Detect, interpret, and rectify electrical fault codes to restore vehicle functionality. Requirements: Qualification: Minimum of five (5) O'Level credits including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two sittings. Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience: in truck maintenance with a strong focus on auto electrical repairs and diagnostics. Proven experience: working on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, tractors, and fleet vehicles. The Person Must: Possess strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for truck and heavy-duty vehicle electrical systems.
