We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Investment Portfolio Manager Location: Victoria Island, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Industry: Investment Banking Job Summary The ideal candidate must demonstrate a genuine passion for investments and the ability to combine investment discipline with commercial awareness. The Portfolio Manager will work to ensure effective management of assigned investment portfolios, developing and implementing investment strategies, identifying investment opportunities and delivering superior risk-adjusted returns in line with clients’ investment objectives, approved mandates and regulatory requirements. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and monitor assigned portfolios in line with approved mandates and investment objectives. Work closely with the dealing, risk, compliance and operations teams to ensure effective execution and monitoring of investment decisions. Ensure compliance with investment mandates, internal policies and applicable SEC regulations. Prepare periodic investment and portfolio performance reports for management and clients. Conduct in-depth analysis of equities, fixed-income securities, money-market instruments and other approved investment opportunities. Identify portfolio risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures. Develop portfolio strategies and asset allocation recommendations. Monitor portfolio performance against agreed benchmarks and targets. Contribute to the growth and retention of Assets Under Management (AUM) through strong investment performance and effective client engagement. Make investment recommendations and present proposals to the Investment Committee. Maintain a strong pipeline of investment opportunities and continuously identify opportunities to enhance portfolio returns. Monitor market developments, economic indicators, interest rates, inflation and other factors affecting investment performance. Requirements: Should be a SEC Sponsored Individual. Good understanding of risk management and regulatory requirements. Strong understanding of the Nigeran financial and capital markets. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Economics, Finance, Accounting or any other related discipline. Excellent communication, presentation and report-writing skills. Demonstrable knowledge of portfolio construction, asset allocation, valuation and investment analysis. Professional qualification such as CFA, ACA, ACCA, CIBN or equivalent will be an advantage.
