We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and result-oriented English Language/Literature-in-English Teacher to join our academic team. Key Responsibilities: Organize literary activities such as debates, spelling bees, public speaking competitions, drama presentations, and reading clubs. Prepare students for internal and external examinations. Participate in staff meetings, professional development programmes, and school activities. Teach English Language and Literature-in-English effectively across assigned classes. Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, notes, and instructional materials in line with curriculum requirements. Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student performance. Assess, monitor, and evaluate students' academic progress. Job Requirements: Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (B.Ed., B.A. Ed., B.A.) in English Language, Literature-in-English, English Education, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications and training in teaching methodologies will be an advantage. TRCN certification will be an added advantage. Minimum of 4–7 years' teaching experience: in a reputable secondary school. Demonstrable record of excellent student academic performance. Proven experience: preparing students for WAEC, NECO, IGCSE, and other external examinations. Skills and Competencies: Excellent spoken and written communication skills. High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to educational excellence. Ability to inspire students to develop strong reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills. Sound knowledge of modern teaching techniques and educational technology. Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
