Min Qualification: Degree Experience Level: Entry level Experience Length: 2 years Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Lagos, Nigeria Job descriptions & requirements Responsibilities: Legal Research and Analysis: Investigating case law, statutes, and legal precedents to build strong, fact-based arguments for senior attorneys. Document Drafting: Preparing contracts, legal notices, briefs, witness statements, and court filings. Case Management: Tracking court deadlines, organizing evidence, and coordinating the flow of files between the firm, clients, and the courts. Client Interaction: Conducting initial consultations, gathering case details, providing updates, and fielding inquiries. Court Appearances: Representing clients in lower-court proceedings, administrative hearings, or assisting partners during high-profile trials. Discovery Process: Managing evidence-gathering through methods like depositions, interrogatories, and document reviews. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree (LL.B.) in Law from a recognized institution. Minimum of 2–5 years of relevant post-call legal experience (or as required by the employer). Strong knowledge of Nigerian laws, legal procedures, and court processes. Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and other legal documents. Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication and advocacy skills. Ability to represent clients in court and before regulatory authorities. High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
