Responsibilities: As a Relationship Manager, you will be the primary driver of new client acquisition and portfolio growth within the Nigerian market. Your focus will be on identifying, onboarding, and developing high-potential traders through a value-based consultative approach. You will work in a culturally diverse team of professionals, each contributing different skill sets to deliver impactful results. Client Acquisition & Business Development (Primary Focus): Lead new client acquisition efforts through proactive outreach, networking, and market development activities across Lagos and key Nigerian markets. Identify and engage prospective clients via multiple channels — referrals, professional networks, digital platforms, and industry events — ensuring all outreach complies with applicable regulations. Conduct initial needs assessments and present appropriate educational resources and platform capabilities to prospective clients. Convert qualified prospects into active trading clients through structured onboarding and personalized engagement. Develop and execute a personal pipeline strategy to consistently meet and exceed monthly new-client acquisition targets. Represent FXTM at educational seminars, webinars, and industry events to build brand presence and generate qualified leads. Portfolio Engagement & Growth: Activate, retain, and grow your customer portfolio through personalized voice and digital support, ensuring clients receive the highest level of service. Develop professional, trusting relationships with your active portfolio, keeping clients informed of relevant market developments and platform enhancements. Monitor client engagement and trading activity to identify opportunities for deeper platform adoption and product education. Listen to customers and offer the best solutions to their needs and concerns. Cooperate with relevant departments to resolve issues and complaints in a timely manner. Provide feedback to relevant departments on customer needs, expectations, and frustrations. Sales Performance & Reporting: Meet and exceed personal and team KPI targets, with a strong emphasis on new-client acquisition metrics. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions, pipeline activity, and conversion outcomes in the CRM system. Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports to management, highlighting acquisition progress, pipeline health, and market feedback. Market Intelligence & Compliance: Stay abreast of global economic indicators, central bank decisions, and geopolitical events that can affect forex markets. Continuously improve knowledge of financial markets, the company’s offering, and competitive landscape. Translate complex financial and economic data into clear, actionable insights that support client decision-making. Adhere strictly to all compliance and security requirements, ensuring all client-facing activities operate within the regulatory framework applicable to FXTM’s current licensing status in Nigeria. Display behaviors aligned with our core values — inside and outside the office. Any additional duties and responsibilities: that may be required. Qualifications University degree or equivalent (Business, Finance, Economics, or relevant field). Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of Pidgin English or additional local languages is a valuable asset for Nigerian market engagement. Proven track record in B2C sales and new client acquisition, preferably within financial services, CFD/forex brokerage, or fintech. Experience: working in sales for a CFD broker covering Africa is highly preferred. Expertise in Forex Markets: Deep understanding of forex trading, currency pairs, and the factors that influence their dynamics. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial markets, economic indicators, and an understanding of macroeconomic trends. Client Engagement: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage prospects, manage client relationships, and meet expectations. Regulatory Awareness: Understanding of the Nigerian financial regulatory environment and the importance of operating within licensed parameters. Familiarity with SEC and CBN guidelines as they pertain to capital market activities. Experience: managing a sales team at a CFD broker is considered an advantage. Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to effectively network with stakeholders, handle multiple tasks, and track and report on progress. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated with a willingness to work autonomously in a fast-paced and high-pressured environment.
