We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Sales & Marketing Executive – HMO Industry Location: Ojota / Ogudu, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Responsibilities: Business Development & Client Acquisition: Prepare proposals, quotations, presentations, and other sales documents for prospective clients. Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and premium targets. Present and sell the organisation's HMO plans, products, and healthcare solutions to prospective clients. Negotiate within approved pricing and product guidelines to convert prospects into active accounts. Identify and prospect for new corporate, SME, institutional, government, and individual clients. Generate leads through direct marketing, referrals, networking, corporate visits, health events, and other channels. Corporate Account Acquisition & Management: Identify organisations with potential for employee health insurance schemes. Coordinate the onboarding of newly acquired corporate accounts with relevant internal departments. Conduct client presentations and explain benefits, exclusions, access procedures, provider networks, and other plan features. Engage HR Managers, Administrators, Procurement Officers, Finance Managers, CEOs, and other decision-makers. Maintain regular engagement with assigned corporate accounts to strengthen relationships and identify additional business opportunities. Premium Generation & Revenue Growth: Monitor assigned accounts to support timely premium payments and minimise revenue leakage. Identify opportunities to increase membership numbers within existing corporate accounts. Generate new premium income through acquisition of new members and accounts. Drive upselling and cross-selling of available HMO products and healthcare packages. Follow up on quotations, invoices, renewals, and outstanding premiums in collaboration with Finance. Client Retention & Renewals: Obtain client feedback and communicate recurring service issues to Management. Conduct periodic client visits and relationship-management meetings. Develop and execute strategies to retain clients and prevent account attrition. Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and actively monitor accounts approaching renewal. Identify client concerns and coordinate with Medical Operations/Customer Service to ensure timely resolution. Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis: Identify emerging healthcare insurance trends and new business opportunities. Monitor competitor HMO products, pricing, benefits, provider networks, and market strategies. Provide Management with regular market intelligence and recommendations for improving products and services. Conduct market research to identify underserved sectors and potential customer segments. Marketing & Brand Promotion: Promote the company's HMO products and value proposition through appropriate marketing channels. Participate in corporate health outreaches, wellness programmes, exhibitions, conferences, trade fairs, and other promotional activities. Support digital marketing and social media campaigns aimed at generating qualified leads. Develop and maintain professional relationships with potential referral partners and strategic business partners. Lead & Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain an active sales pipeline in line with assigned targets. Follow up consistently on pending proposals and opportunities. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of prospects and clients. Provide realistic sales forecasts to the Head of Sales & Marketing. Track leads from initial contact through proposal, negotiation, conversion, onboarding, and renewal. HMO Product & Industry Knowledge: Stay abreast of developments within the Nigerian health insurance industry. Ensure sales activities comply with applicable regulatory and company requirements. Ensure that all representations made to clients are accurate and consistent with approved company policies and products. Maintain sound knowledge of the company's HMO plans, benefits, exclusions, tariffs, provider network, and service processes. Internal Coordination: Work closely with Medical Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Claims, Provider Management, and other departments to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery. Collaborate with internal teams to improve customer experience: and retention. Escalate unresolved client issues promptly to the appropriate authority. Ensure client information and documentation are properly handed over to relevant departments. Reporting & Accountability: Report on leads generated, client meetings, proposals submitted, conversions, premium generated, collections, renewals, and pipeline value. Maintain accurate records of all client and prospect interactions. Account for performance against assigned sales and revenue targets. Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales activity reports.
