Job Position: Fibre Engineer Job Location: Ajah / Lekki, Lagos Job Responsibilities: Install, terminate, splice, and test fibre optic cables. Conduct fibre optic cable testing using OTDR, power meters, and other testing equipment. Identify and troubleshoot fibre faults, signal loss, and connectivity issues. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fibre optic infrastructure. Carry out fibre route surveys and assist with network planning and deployment. Monitor fibre network performance and resolve technical issues promptly. Ensure all fibre installations comply with company standards and safety procedures. Work with NOC, Technical Support, and Operations teams to resolve network issues. Maintain accurate records of fibre routes, connections, splicing, and equipment. Respond to customer and network-related fibre faults when required. Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of fiber tools and equipment. Job Requirements: HND / B.Sc Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Practical experience: in fibre optic installation and maintenance. Knowledge of fibre splicing, termination, testing, and troubleshooting. Ability to use OTDR, optical power meter, fusion splicer, and related tools. Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
