We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Room Attendant Location: Lekki, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary The role ensures that every guest room is clean, comfortable, well-stocked, and ready for occupancy while delivering exceptional service that enhances the guest experience. The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and preparing guest rooms and designated public areas to the hotel's standards. Key Responsibilities: Guest Room Cleaning: Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors where applicable. Inspect rooms thoroughly before marking them as ready for occupancy. Ensure all room appliances, lighting, air conditioning, television, and telephone are functioning properly and report defects immediately. Replenish guest amenities, toiletries, towels, drinking water, and other room supplies. Make beds, replace bed linen, and arrange pillows neatly. Clean and service assigned guest rooms in accordance with hotel standards. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, mirrors, and floors. Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, mirrors, and other surfaces. Housekeeping Operations: Follow daily room assignment schedules and complete all assigned rooms within the required timeframe. Maintain housekeeping carts in a clean, organized, and fully stocked condition. Handle "Do Not Disturb" (DND) and occupied rooms in accordance with hotel procedures. Collect and transport used linen and towels to the laundry area. Receive and distribute clean linen as required. Guest Service: Respond promptly to guests' requests within the scope of the role. Greet guests politely and professionally. Respect guest privacy and confidentiality at all times. Report lost and found items immediately in accordance with hotel policy. Hygiene, Safety and Security: Ensure guest belongings are handled with care and integrity. Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to manufacturer instructions. Report maintenance defects, safety hazards, or suspicious activities promptly. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Comply with all health, safety, and fire regulations. Administrative Responsibilities: Record maintenance issues and housekeeping activities as required. Update room status accurately and promptly. Participate in daily briefings, departmental meetings, and training sessions. Requirements: 1-3 years of work experience.
