To ensure success, you should display an investigative nature and must be accurate, commercially aware and have great communication skills with a keen interest in ensuring the safety and physical integrity of large structures. As a telecoms structural engineer you are responsible for designing telecommunication support structure so that it can fulfil a specific purpose, and remain safe, economic and functioning throughout its intended lifetime. You will report to your designated principal engineer or, in their absence, a director. You will have excellent mathematical, IT and analytical skills. You are expected to be detail oriented, creative and possess amazing problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities: and Accountabilities Analyse simple and complex structures using fundamental engineering principles; Construct finite element representation of real-life structures using industry and proprietary in -house FE software; Consider the strength of construction materials and select appropriately; Apply relevant loads to FE models to assess structural suitability; Manage projects with respect to deadlines and budgetary constraints; Prepare calculations, reports, designs and drawings; Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction; Job Requirements: and Qualifications Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (essential). Ability to work remotely. Sound understanding of system structural response with respect to forces, moments and deflections. Excellent communication including the ability to liaise with professionals from other disciplines. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings Sound understanding of physics and mathematics. Project management experience. Meticulous attention to detail with the superb organizational skills. Three-dimensional conceptual skills. 2 years of work experience: as a Mechanical, Design or Structural Engineer (essential). Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of construction methods, materials and awareness of legal regulations. Inquisitive nature with motivation for self-advancement. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Professionally registered with recognised Engineering Institution or working towards accreditation.
