We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Head Nurse Location: Lekki-Ajah, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time, On-Site Role Description The Head Nurse plays a crucial role in maintaining high-quality patient care, managing resources, and promoting a positive work environment. The Head Nurse is a senior nursing professional responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the efficient operation of the Nursing department. We are looking for a motivated leader who can serve in the role of a Head Nurse with proven rehabilitative experience. Responsibilities: Leadership and management: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals (physicians, administrators, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists etc.) to ensure seamless patient care. Provide leadership to the nursing team, including Matron, Charge Nurses, Registered Nurses (RNs), and Nursing Assistants. Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols. Staff supervision: Assign duties and responsibilities: to nurses based on their skills and qualifications. Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any performance issues. Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate nursing staff. Patient care: Ensure patient safety and comfort. Monitor patient care activities to ensure adherence to standards and protocols. Assist with complex patient cases and provide guidance to nursing staff. Resource Management: Monitor budgetary constraints and optimize resource utilization. Manage staffing levels, schedules, and shift assignments. Allocate resources efficiently (e.g., supplies, equipment, medications). Quality Improvement: Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. Address any deficiencies promptly. Participate in audits, reviews, and accreditation processes.
