We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Maintenance Inspection Officer Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers Description Drive asset integrity, preventive maintenance, risk management, and HSE compliance through systematic inspections, performance monitoring, reliability improvement initiatives, and continuous optimization of asset lifecycle performance to support operational excellence and business continuity. Coordinate and oversee facilities inspection, asset condition monitoring, and maintenance assurance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Company facilities and infrastructure. Task and Responsibilities: Facilities Inspection & Asset Condition Monitoring: Conduct routine, periodic, and special inspections of facilities, infrastructure, and technical systems. Generate inspection reports with prioritized recommendations. Assess physical condition, functionality, integrity, and operational readiness of assets. Maintain facility inspection schedules and programs. Identify defects, deterioration, maintenance needs, and safety hazards. Evaluate building systems against established performance standards. Perform condition assessments and asset health reviews. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance Management: Coordinate implementation of preventive maintenance programs. Ensure optimization of asset life-cycle performance. Monitor maintenance backlog and closure performance. Monitor compliance with approved maintenance schedules. Verify proper execution of corrective maintenance activities. Conduct post-maintenance inspections to assure work quality. Support development of maintenance strategies and maintenance plans. Asset Integrity & Reliability Assurance: Recommend asset improvement and replacement initiatives. Identify risks affecting asset availability and business continuity. Participate in root cause investigations of major failures. Support reliability-centered maintenance initiatives. Support asset integrity management programs. Monitor critical equipment performance and reliability. Facilities Risk Management: Monitor critical equipment and infrastructure vulnerabilities. Identify facility-related operational risks. Support emergency preparedness and business continuity initiatives. Recommend mitigation plans for identified risks. Support hazard identification and risk assessments. HSE & Operational Excellence: Ensure maintenance activities are executed safely and efficiently. Ensure compliance with Company HSE standards. Support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in HSE inspections and incident investigations. Promote a strong safety culture throughout maintenance activities. Job Requirements: Assists in ensuring closure of outstanding Synergy recommendations. Assists in the close out of all pending Synergy actions/recommendations. Support the anomaly and downgraded situations tracking and closure process. Supports the Permit to Work (PTW) process & Perfect Day initiative at his location.
