Our client, a growing company operating within the agro-allied industry, is seeking a dynamic, experienced and results-driven HR/Admin Manager to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving effective people management, strengthening administrative operations, and ensuring the proper design, implementation and compliance with the company’s policies, processes and procedures. This is a hands-on role for an HR professional who can bring structure, accountability and efficiency to the workplace while supporting management in building a productive and disciplined workforce. Key Responsibilties Human Resources Management: Develop and implement effective HR policies, procedures and systems in line with the company’s objectives and applicable labour regulations. Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, confirmation, performance management, disciplinary processes and exit procedures. Coordinate recruitment activities to ensure the company attracts and selects qualified and suitable employees. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation. Develop and implement employee performance management systems, including KPIs, performance reviews and performance improvement plans. Identify employee training and development needs and coordinate relevant training programmes. Promote employee engagement, teamwork, discipline and a positive workplace culture. Handle employee relations matters professionally and ensure proper resolution of workplace issues. Ensure compliance with company policies, employment contracts and relevant labour laws. Administration & Operations: Oversee the day-to-day administrative activities of the company. Develop and enforce administrative procedures that improve efficiency and accountability. Ensure proper documentation and filing of company records. Monitor office/facility management, staff welfare, logistics and general administrative services. Coordinate company assets, office supplies and administrative resources. Work with departmental heads to ensure effective implementation of company policies and procedures. Monitor adherence to approved processes and escalate breaches or operational concerns to management. Support management in improving operational efficiency and workplace standards. Policy, Process & Compliance: Review existing policies and processes and identify areas requiring improvement. Lead the implementation of approved company policies and procedures. Conduct periodic compliance checks to ensure employees and departments adhere to established processes. Identify operational gaps and recommend practical solutions. Maintain proper HR and administrative documentation for audit and management purposes. Keep management informed of significant HR, administrative and employee-related issues. Management Support: Prepare periodic HR and administrative reports for management. Provide management with professional advice on employee, administrative and workplace matters. Support organisational planning, manpower planning and workforce development. Work closely with management and departmental heads to ensure HR and administrative activities support business objectives. Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Management, Sociology or a related field. 3 - 5 years of relevant experience: in HR and Administration, preferably in a structured organisation or manufacturing/agro-allied environment. Professional certification or membership of CIPM or another recognised HR professional body is an added advantage. Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, recruitment and performance management. Candidates must be willing to work and reside in Awka/Akwuzu, Anambra State.
