We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Production Supervisor Location: Kakara, Kano Job Description Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications. Monitor and manage stock movement by applying opening/closing shift arrangements in coordination with the materials handling supervisor Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or violations. Identify and address any immediate issues affecting production efficiency. Ensure accurate recipe calculations based on standards. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Coordinate with the warehouse and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials. Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to ensure efficiency and minimize downtime. Apply opening-closing shifts protocols Analyze wastage data and report findings to management with recommendations for improvement. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements: and company policies. Implement and enforce quality control procedures and protocols. Monitor and control raw materials usage to minimize waste. Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily production activities to meet production schedules and targets. Coordinate with the maintenance department for routine and preventive maintenance. Prepare and submit regular production reports to the Production Manager or Plant Manager Implement strategies to reduce wastage and improve material utilization. Collaborate with other departments to streamline production processes and resolve issues. Use SIC data to drive continuous improvement and quick problem-solving on the production floor. Maintain accurate production records, including output (total count & good count), downtime, head count and quality metrics. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, yield, capacity utilization, cycle time, waste rate, employee productivity and safety incidents as well as usage data to drive continuous improvement. Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular short-interval control meetings to review production performance. Monitor recipe adherence during production to maintain product consistency and quality Address any equipment malfunctions or breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime. Coordinate with the quality control department to address any quality issues. Ensure that production equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition. Minimize waste and manage resources effectively.
