The Cashier will manage patient and client payments accurately and securely through cash, POS and bank transfers while ensuring that daily collections are completely accounted for and properly remitted. Key responsibilities: include Receive payments from patients and clients through POS and bank transfers. Liaise with Front Desk, Accounts and other departments to resolve payment-related issues. Issue appropriate receipts and payment documentation. Confirm electronic payments before acknowledging transactions as paid. Reconcile POS transactions and bank-transfer collections at the end of each working day. Accurately record all daily collections. Investigate and report payment discrepancies immediately. Prepare daily cashier reports for Finance. Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and patient information. Prevent unauthorised discounts, refunds or alterations to payment records. Support reconciliation of patient bills and payments. Follow approved POS and financial-control procedures. Maintain accurate records. Remit collections according to approved financial-control procedures. Escalate suspected fraudulent or irregular transactions immediately. Balance the day's collections against receipts and system records. Qualifications Experience: handling POS and electronic transfers is required. Basic accounting and reconciliation experience: is required. Experience: in amedical laboratory, clinic, hospital or pharmacy is an advantage. Bachelor's Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline. 1–2 years' post-NYSC experience: in cashiering, accounting, receivables or financial operations. Skills Set: Ability to use Excel and accounting/payment software. Good record-keeping skills. Strong numerical and reconciliation skills. Ability to verify bank transfers and electronic payments. Experience: using POS terminals. Strong integrity and trustworthiness. Good knowledge of basic accounting principles. Good customer-service skills. Ability to work accurately under pressure. Excellent attention to details. Ability to identify payment discrepancies quickly. Benefits: HMO and Pension applicable. Salary: N150,000 monthly.
