Key Responsibilities: Assess corporate governance, ethics, compliance, risk management, and ESG oversight. Monitor energy-sector regulations, climate policies, and sustainability reporting requirements. Review social issues including health and safety, human rights, labour practices, community relations, and stakeholder engagement. Conduct ESG research and assessments of energy companies, projects, and assets. Review sustainability reports, annual reports, ESG disclosures, company policies, and relevant industry information. Analyse environmental, social, governance, climate, and sustainability risks and opportunities. Assess environmental issues such as pollution, waste, water use, biodiversity, and land use. Research renewable energy, clean technologies, climate finance, carbon markets, and energy-transition developments. Analyse greenhouse gas emissions, including Scope 1, Scope 2, and where relevant, Scope 3 emissions. Assess corporate climate strategies, decarbonisation plans, and net-zero commitments.
