We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Male Security Officer Location: Wuse 2, Abuja (FCT) Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a disciplined, alert, and physically fit Male Security Officer to safeguard the company's properties, employees, residents, visitors, assets, and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment, monitoring access to company premises, identifying potential security threats, responding appropriately to incidents, and ensuring that established security procedures are strictly followed. Key Responsibilities: Monitor CCTV cameras and other security systems where available. Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services when required and authorized. Ensure proper handover and briefing to the next security officer at the end of each shift. Report suspicious persons, activities, theft, damage, or security breaches immediately. Protect company property, equipment, materials, and other assets from theft, damage, or unauthorized access. Verify the identity of employees, visitors, contractors, and other persons entering or leaving the premises. Assist in emergency response and evacuation procedures. Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents and emergencies. Monitor and control access to company premises, sites, offices, and residential properties. Monitor movement of company materials and equipment in and out of the premises. Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas and identify suspicious activities or security risks. Enforce security rules and regulations professionally and respectfully. Maintain accurate records of visitors, incidents, movements, and security activities. Work closely with the CSO, Security Supervisor, Site Safety Officer, and other relevant personnel. Remain alert and attentive throughout the assigned shift. Report faulty security equipment, lighting, gates, locks, CCTV systems, and other security infrastructure. Perform other security-related duties reasonably assigned by Management. Ensure gates, doors, windows, storage areas, and other access points are properly secured. Maintain discipline and order within the assigned premises. Requirements: Good observation and situational-awareness skills. Minimum of secondary school education: certificate. Security training or certification is an advantage. Must be male and physically fit for the demands of the role. 2–5 years of relevant security experience. Must be willing to work in different locations/sites as assigned. Previous experience: in residential estates, construction sites, corporate organizations, hotels, or similar environments is an advantage. Ability to write basic reports and maintain security records. Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be reliable, disciplined, punctual, and trustworthy. Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays when required.
