The ideal candidate must have proven accounting experience: within the FMCG industry, with strong exposure to project accounting, budgeting, cost management, financial reporting, and business performance analysis. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong experience: in the FMCG sector, project accounting, and operational finance to join our team in Port Harcourt. Key Responsibilities: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation. Utilize ERP/accounting systems such as SAP for transaction processing, reporting, and financial analysis. Support internal and external audit processes by providing accurate documentation and resolving audit queries promptly. Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations. Support management in budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and financial performance reviews. Monitor revenue, expenses, inventory-related costs, and other key financial performance indicators. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and financial statements for project-based and operational activities. Prepare financial analysis and management reports to support strategic and operational decision-making. Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Maintain proper documentation and financial controls across all accounting activities. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, company policies, and applicable accounting standards. Monitor the financial performance of ongoing projects and provide actionable insights to improve cost control and profitability. Support project accounting functions, including budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis. Analyze operational and project costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization. Collaborate with operations, logistics, production, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment with business objectives. Requirements: High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
