This role requires someone who can manage multiple finance functions while providing accurate financial insights to support business decision-making. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on finance professional with strong experience: across financial reporting, accounting, regulatory compliance, and financial analysis. We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller to oversee key financial operations and ensure strong financial management within a growing financial services organization. Key Responsibilities: Strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations. Manage financial accounting activities including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closing Maintain accurate records for accounts payable and receivable Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports Ensure compliance with statutory financial requirements: including tax filings, VAT, withholding tax, and regulatory submissions Monitor daily cash flow and manage treasury-related activities Develop financial reports, forecasts, and financial models to support management decision-making Oversee bank and payment account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly Support external audit processes and coordinate documentation for financial reviews Requirements: Education: & Experience: 6 - 8 years of progressive experience: in finance, accounting, or financial management roles particularly with "Cross-Border Payments" Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field Experience: within cross border/international financial services, fintech, banking, or regulated financial institutions is an advantage Certifications & Technical Skills: Experience: using accounting or ERP systems such as Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar tools ICAN (ACA) or ACCA qualification is required Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling Good understanding of IFRS standards, tax compliance, and financial reporting frameworks.
