The role requires a hands-on engineering professional who can lead technical teams, minimise operational downtime, improve energy efficiency and maintain high safety and environmental standards. A reputable agribusiness company is seeking an experienced Engineering & Maintenance Lead to oversee its engineering, maintenance and facility-management operations. Key Responsibilities: Supervise technicians and other maintenance personnel, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently. Develop and implement maintenance schedules, procedures and performance standards. Prepare and present periodic engineering and maintenance performance reports to management. Lead all preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities across farm facilities, machinery and equipment. Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements. Support the planning and execution of engineering projects, installations and equipment upgrades. Conduct routine technical inspections and recommend appropriate corrective actions. Optimise energy consumption and implement engineering-efficiency measures. Diagnose equipment faults and coordinate timely repairs to minimise operational downtime. Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, equipment histories and spare-parts requirements. Monitor equipment performance and introduce continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements: A strong commitment to workplace safety, operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. Willingness to work onsite and reside in or relocate to Igbariam, Anambra State. A Master’s Degree or relevant professional certification will be an added advantage. A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural Engineering or a related discipline. 8–10 years of relevant experience: in engineering and maintenance management. Strong hands-on experience: in the maintenance of machinery and equipment within agro-industrial, poultry, food-processing, manufacturing or a closely related environment. Good leadership, communication, planning and technical-reporting skills. Demonstrated experience: leading technicians and coordinating maintenance activities.
