Our client is looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making across payment, remittance, collection, and operational platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analysing, interpreting, and presenting data to generate actionable business insights. Key Responsibilities: Data Analysis & Reporting: Develop daily, weekly, and monthly management reports. Write and optimise complex SQL queries for reporting, analysis, and data validation. Provide management with clear insights into business performance and emerging trends. Extract, clean, analyse, and interpret large datasets from multiple systems and databases. Analyse transaction volumes, values, revenue, customer activity, merchant performance, and operational trends. Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support management and business teams. Business Intelligence & Dashboards: Automate recurring reports and data processes wherever possible. Design and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, Metabase, or similar BI platforms. Develop clear and effective data visualisations that support informed decision-making. Build executive dashboards highlighting key business KPIs and performance trends. Payments & Transaction Analytics: Analyse payment and remittance data across areas including: Settlement and reconciliation trends Failed and pending transactions Revenue and transaction success rates Payout partners Payment channels and processors Customer activity Identify unusual patterns, transaction anomalies, and potential operational issues. Transaction volume and value Processing times Remittance corridors Merchant performance Data Quality & Reconciliation: Support Finance and Operations teams with transaction reconciliation. Collaborate with Technology teams to investigate and resolve data discrepancies. Validate data across payment processors, bank accounts, wallets, and internal systems. Monitor data quality across business systems. Identify inconsistencies, missing records, and data anomalies. Commercial & Performance Analysis: Provide actionable insights into: Payment-channel performance Country and partner performance Operational efficiency Revenue and customer growth Merchant growth and product utilisation Transaction behaviour Transaction costs and profitability Support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic decision-making through accurate and timely data analysis. Customer retention Management Reporting: Prepare and support executive reporting, including: Weekly business performance dashboards Revenue and transaction trend analysis Partner and merchant performance reports Monthly management reports Customer behaviour analysis Country and product performance reports The role will collaborate closely with Technology, Operations, Finance, Product, Compliance, and Management teams. Candidate Requirements: Strong SQL experience: is mandatory. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline with 2 – 4 years of relevant professional experience: in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple departments. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate complex analytical findings in clear business language. Ability to analyse large datasets and identify meaningful patterns and trends. Proven experience: developing dashboards and management reports.
