We are seeking a dedicated Sales Executive based in Lagos to promote and sell construction materials and concrete admixtures in the Nigerian market. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing local distributors, acquiring engineering and construction clients, maintaining long-term customer relationships, and supporting the complete sales process—from initial enquiry through order fulfilment and after-sales service. Key Responsibilities: Identify and develop distributors, contractors, ready-mix concrete plants, precast concrete manufacturers, construction companies, and building-material traders. Conduct regular field visits and identify medium- to large-scale projects across Nigeria. Generate leads and independently manage customer enquiries, quotations, negotiations, sample deliveries, contracts, orders, payment collection, and after-sales support. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts and channel partners. Monitor market prices, competing brands, customer needs, payment terms, and industry developments. Identify potential payment, fraud, and operational risks and report them promptly. Participate in offline market-development activities, industry exhibitions, and other promotional events. Coordinate efficiently with the China headquarters across time zones. Provide regular updates on market conditions, competitors, customer requirements, sales progress, and potential risks. Requirements: Nigerian residents are preferred. Minimum qualification: Senior Secondary School Certificate or equivalent. Qualifications in International Trade, Marketing, Construction Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field are preferred. Strong knowledge of Nigeria’s major construction-material markets and sales channels. Ability to work independently in the field and visit customers regularly. Proficiency in written and spoken business English. Chinese-language skills are an advantage. Proficiency in Yoruba and/or Igbo is an advantage. Proficiency in WhatsApp, email, Microsoft Excel, and other common office tools. Strong communication, negotiation, quotation, and contract-coordination skills. Results-driven, resilient, and comfortable working with sales targets and performance evaluations. Honest, professional, and highly aware of commercial and credit risks. Able to identify fraudulent customers and potential trade scams. Willing and able to collaborate effectively with an international team across time zones. Preferred Experience: and Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates who have: B2B sales experience: in construction materials, concrete admixtures, chemical raw materials, or chemical imports. Existing relationships with ready-mix concrete plants, precast factories, contractors, engineering companies, building-material wholesalers, or major importers. Proven experience: developing distributors, project clients, and bulk-purchasing customers. A strong understanding of local competitors, market pricing, and industry payment terms. Basic technical knowledge of chemical products and polycarboxylate superplasticizers. The ability to understand Technical Data Sheets (TDS), test reports, and other product-related technical documents. Connections with construction-industry exhibitions, trade associations, or relevant promotional channels. The ability to coordinate customer trials, sample testing, and basic on-site technical discussions.
