We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Cashier Locations: By GTBank, Opposite AP Filling Station, Apo District, - Abuja (FCT) and Adamawa Employment Type: Full-time Work Schedule: 15 working days per month Key Responsibilities: Follow all cash-handling, security, and company procedures. Issue receipts to customers for completed transactions. Receive cash, POS, transfer, and other approved forms of payment. Support other supermarket operations when required. Maintain accurate records of daily sales and transactions. Maintain confidentiality of transaction and business information. Handle customer inquiries and resolve basic transaction-related issues professionally. Balance cash and transaction records at the end of each shift. Accurately calculate and provide the correct change where applicable. Report discrepancies, shortages, or excess cash to the supervisor immediately. Report suspected fraudulent transactions or irregularities to management. Assist with bagging and packaging customers' purchases when required. Ensure the cash register and checkout area remain clean and organized. Verify prices and product information before processing transactions. Assist customers courteously and professionally. Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently. Requirements: Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and customer service skills. Good numerical and basic accounting skills. Previous cashier or retail experience: is preferred. Ability to operate a POS terminal and cash register. Minimum of SSCE/WAEC/NECO; OND or higher is an advantage. Must be willing to work 15 days per month according to the assigned schedule. Ability to work effectively with other team members. Must be computer literate. Ability to handle cash and financial transactions responsibly. Honest, trustworthy, and reliable. Good organizational and time-management skills.
