This person will translate HipTV's TV shows, event coverage, and exclusive access into a daily content engine across all major platforms, grow engaged audiences, and turn HipTV's social channels into a primary revenue and brand-relevance driver — not just a promotional add-on to TV. Key Responsibilities: Work with HipTV's production and events teams to capture real-time, social-first content at shows, red carpets, and The Headies. Identify and manage relationships with influencers, creators, and artists for collaborations, takeovers, and cross-promotion. Own and execute HipTV's social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X (Twitter), and Facebook, with platform-specific content plans. Lead the conversion of HipTV's TV-first content model (shows, interviews, event coverage, red-carpet footage) into short-form, social-native formats optimised for each platform. Grow followers, engagement, and watch-time across all channels, with clear targets tied to HipTV's pan-African, youth-focused audience. Stay ahead of platform trends, algorithm changes, and format shifts (e.g. Reels, TikTok trends, YouTube Shorts) and adapt HipTV's approach accordingly. Manage community engagement — comments, DMs, and audience interaction — to build an active, loyal digital community. Track platform analytics and translate performance data into content and strategy decisions; report on growth, engagement, and revenue-relevant metrics. Manage and mentor junior content creators and social media executives. Plan and manage a daily/weekly content calendar covering entertainment news, artist profiles, event highlights, and trending urban culture moments.
