Job Position: In-House Accountant Job Location: Maryland, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Description The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the organization’s financial health through effective planning, compliance, and control processes. Job Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date company financial records. Prepare, process, and manage payroll, ensuring timely salary payments and correct statutory deductions. Review and clean financial data (account scrubbing) to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies. Perform regular account reconciliations, including bank and ledger reconciliation. Handle taxation processes, including preparation and filing of tax returns in compliance with regulations. Manage PAYE (Pay As You Earn) and ensure proper remittance to relevant authorities. Develop and monitor budgets to support organizational financial planning. Conduct financial forecasting and provide insights for strategic decision-making. Prepare financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Support internal controls and assist in audit processes. Perform other finance-related duties as assigned.
