Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, cost control, inventory accountability, cash flow management, statutory compliance, and timely financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements, cash flow reports, balance sheets, and management reports. Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger. Monitor cash flow and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports. Ensure timely compliance with all statutory obligations, including VAT, PAYE, and other regulatory requirements. Monitor production costs, raw material usage, wastage, and cost variances. Develop and maintain product costing and cost-per-unit analysis. Record daily financial transactions and perform regular bank reconciliations. Support payroll preparation by validating attendance, deductions, and staff costs. Identify financial risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost optimization. Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier and customer reconciliations. Track inventory movements and reconcile physical stock with system records. Work closely with Production, Procurement, Operations, and HR to improve financial efficiency and operational performance. Requirements: Professional accounting certification (ICAN, ACCA, or ACA) is an added advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. 2-3 years Proven experience: in accounting, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills. Good understanding of Nigerian tax laws and statutory compliance. High level of integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail. Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. HND or B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
