We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Auto Electrician Location: No 1 Akaka Road, Ode Remo - Ogun Employment Type: Full-time Department: Engineering / Electrical Industry: Automobile Manufacturing Job Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, repairing, testing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems in vehicles and automotive components. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Electrician with strong practical knowledge of automotive electrical systems and engineering processes. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicle electrical and electronic systems. Troubleshoot electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment. Read and interpret basic electrical and engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications. Carry out electrical installations and modifications on vehicles and automotive components. Work closely with Mechanical Engineers, Auto Mechanics, Technicians, and Production teams. Perform other duties assigned by the Engineering or Maintenance Supervisor. Maintain accurate records of electrical repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities. Apply practical engineering knowledge when diagnosing and resolving electrical faults. Inspect electrical connections, wiring, fuses, relays, sensors, and control systems. Install and maintain wiring harnesses, batteries, alternators, starters, lighting systems, and other electrical components. Ensure all work complies with engineering, quality, and HSE standards. Test electrical systems after repairs to ensure proper functionality and safety. Maintain electrical tools and workshop equipment in good working condition. Qualifications & Requirements: Ability to work effectively with engineers, technicians, and other production personnel. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret basic electrical and engineering diagrams. Knowledge of vehicle safety and electrical maintenance procedures. Ability to use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment. Minimum of SSCE/WAEC/NECO, NABTEB, Trade Test, or Technical College qualification. Strong practical knowledge of automotive electrical systems and engineering is required. Good knowledge of vehicle wiring, batteries, alternators, starters, lighting, sensors, and electrical control systems. Minimum of 3 years’ practical experience: as an Auto Electrician, preferably in automobile manufacturing, engineering, or a related industry. Physically fit, reliable, disciplined, and safety-conscious.
