To ensure timely recovery of overdue loans and minimize the organization’s credit losses by implementing effective debt recovery strategies, maintaining positive customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Monitor loan repayment schedules and identify delinquent accounts. Contact borrowers through phone calls, emails, letters, and physical visits to recover outstanding debts. Negotiate repayment plans and restructuring arrangements with defaulting customers where necessary. Maintain accurate records of all recovery activities and customer interactions. Investigate reasons for loan defaults and recommend appropriate recovery actions. Prepare and issue demand notices and recovery letters to delinquent borrowers. Coordinate with legal officers and external recovery agents on difficult recovery cases. Track and report recovery performance, arrears status, and collection trends. Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory guidelines, and ethical collection practices. Conduct field visits for verification and recovery of overdue loans. Recommend write-offs, repossession, or legal action where recovery prospects are limited to management. Maintain confidentiality of customer information and company records. Educational background & skills Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or any other related profession. 2:1 from a recognized university 3-6years of experience: in loan recovery, credit risk, and management A certification in CIBN is an added advantage Strong negotiation and persuasion skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of credit management and recovery procedures. Ability to handle difficult customers professionally. Good report writing and documentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and loan management systems. High level of integrity and confidentiality. Ability to work under pressure and meet recovery targets. Working Conditions: Combination of office-based and field recovery activities. Frequent interaction with customers. May require travel for customer visits and recovery assignments.
