The candidate will serve as the primary technical and creative resource within GRENCHI’s communications team with strong ability to strengthen our external voice in support of our strategic priorities, support the implementation of GRENCHI’s communications strategy while providing direct support to the Programs and Development teams. The candidate will be responsible for enhancing GRENCHI’s brand visibility, awareness, credibility and accountability through strategic communications initiatives. Key Duties and Responsibility: Implementation of GRENCHI’s Communication Strategy Support the development, review and execution of GRENCHI’s communication strategy in alignment with the organization’s overall objectives. Implement the communications department work plan, ensuring set targets, objectives and indicators are achieved. Collaborate with GRENCHI’s stakeholders to identify communication priorities and develop tailored messaging for diverse audiences. Digital/Social Media Management Manage and optimise GRENCHI’s digital platforms and social media channels to strengthen visibility and stakeholder engagement. Create high-quality multi-media content, including video, photography, graphics designs, web posts, blog and social media material that powerfully convey Website Management and SEO Optimisation Ensure GRENCHI’s website is regularly updated with accurate, relevant and engaging content. Apply SEO strategies and best-practice techniques to enhance GRENCHI’s online visibility and search engine rankings. Documentation and Storytelling: Conduct interviews and collect impact stories from beneficiaries and partners to showcase the outcomes of GRENCHI’s work. Document, edit and package success stories and communication materials for dissemination across appropriate channels. Provide technical support to program staff and partners on effective communication practices, including the development of change stories, photos, documentaries, annual reports and newsletters, among other materials. Media and Branding: Develop branded communication materials such as factsheets, brochures, annual reports, flyers and newsletters to strengthen GRENCHI’s visibility and profile. Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all communications material for GRENCHI. Ensure proper visibility of GRENCHI’s brand in all meetings and engagements where GRENCHI takes part. Maintain a media contact database and proactively engage reporters, editors and other media professionals to identify opportunities to promote GRENCHI’s work. Any other responsibilities: assigned to the candidate by the Director as required Qualification required: Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, Films/Multimedia Productions, environmental studies or any related field. Additional certification in videography, photography, digital marketing, graphics design or web design will be an added advantage. Experience: and Ideal Requirement: Minimum of 2-3years years of progressive experience. NGO or environmental sector experience: is an advantage. Proven experience: producing multimedia content (videos, photography, graphic designs) Demonstratable portfolio of creative work showcasing designs, videos and photography content Excellent written, verbal communication and storytelling skills with a strong portfolio of published or produced content.
