We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Nursery School Teacher Location: Surulere, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Overview The Teacher is responsible for assisting the head class teacher in teaching designated class pupils and ensuring that they achieve the highest possible standards of academic work and personal conduct in line with the school vision, mission, values and curriculum. Core Responsibilities: Mark classwork and homework Prepare interactive white board and laptops for learning Ensure safety of pupils’ belongings Be knowledgeable about related subjects and curriculum content Make copies of learning materials Take responsibility for own professional development. Teach class in the absence of class teacher Reconcile minor conflicts amongst pupils and report disciplinary issues to class teacher Ensure all learning materials are packed up at the end of each lesson and each day Receive pupils and ensure submission of homework Take responsibility for the efficient and safe use of learning resources and equipment Ensure class room is neat and tidy Check and ensure pupils are following laid down class routines and procedures Communicate pupils’ progress to the class teacher Monitor pupils’ safety within and outside the classroom Prepare writing materials, demonstration materials, craft materials, board displays experiment materials, Montessori materials (where applicable) and other learning materials Monitor class activities, check and correct classwork assigned by the class teacher during lessons Record and check daily class attendance.
