We are recruiting to fill the position below: JJb Title: Communications Manager Location: Magodo Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening the Company's corporate identity, managing communication across key stakeholder groups, developing compelling content and ensuring consistent, timely and professional communication across all channels. Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited is seeking a strategic, creative and results-driven Communications Manager to lead the development and execution of the Company's internal and external communications strategy. The Role The Communications Manager will serve as a key custodian of the Company's voice, reputation and corporate messaging. The successful candidate must combine strong strategic communication skills with excellent writing, storytelling, digital communication and stakeholder management capabilities. The role will work closely with Management, HR, Commercial, Operations and other business functions to translate business priorities into clear and impactful communication while ensuring that all communications align with the Company's values, brand standards and strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities: Communications Strategy & Planning: Monitor communication effectiveness and recommend improvements based on audience feedback and performance data. Identify communication opportunities that support business growth, employee engagement and corporate reputation. Establish communication standards, guidelines and protocols across the organisation. Develop and implement an integrated communications strategy aligned with the Company's business objectives. Develop annual and quarterly communication plans covering internal, external, digital and corporate communications. Internal Communications: Lead the development of effective internal communication programmes across the organisation. Develop and manage internal communication channels, including email communications, newsletters, employee announcements, town halls, campaigns and other employee engagement platforms. Ensure employees receive timely and accurate information on key organisational developments, policies, initiatives and business milestones. Partner with HR to support employee engagement initiatives, organisational change, culture-building programmes and employer branding. Develop communication materials for Management meetings, employee forums, leadership engagements and corporate events. Translate complex business information into clear, engaging and accessible messages for employees. External & Corporate Communications: Develop and manage external communications that strengthen the Company's corporate reputation. Support Management in communicating key corporate initiatives, achievements and strategic milestones. Prepare corporate announcements, press releases, speeches, corporate statements, articles, presentations and other communication materials. Develop corporate profiles, company presentations, fact sheets and other institutional communication materials. Coordinate external communication activities in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Manage communication with external stakeholders, including customers, partners, industry stakeholders, community groups and other relevant audiences. Media & Public Relations: Coordinate appropriate responses to media enquiries and emerging reputational issues. Monitor media coverage relating to the Company, its brands and relevant industry issues. Prepare media statements, briefing notes, talking points and responses for Management. Coordinate media engagements, interviews, press briefings and corporate publicity opportunities. Track public perception and identify potential reputational risks. Develop and maintain professional relationships with relevant media organisations and journalists. Digital & Social Media Communications: Use analytics and insights to improve digital communication strategies. Ensure all communication is accurate, clear, professional and aligned with the Company's tone of voice. Develop and execute digital communication strategies across relevant platforms. Develop compelling stories that communicate the Company's people, products, achievements, innovations and impact. Content Development & Storytelling Maintain a content library and communication calendar. Monitor digital engagement, audience growth, reach and content performance. Ensure consistency of corporate messaging and brand identity across digital platforms. Create and manage engaging content, including articles, graphics, videos, campaigns and other multimedia materials. Oversee the Company's social media presence and digital content calendar. Work with creative agencies, designers, photographers, videographers and other external partners where required. Develop speeches, presentations, executive messages, newsletters, brochures, articles and campaign materials. Write and edit high-quality corporate content for different audiences and communication channels. Brand & Corporate Identity: Work with relevant teams to ensure that communication materials comply with approved brand guidelines. Support the development and implementation of corporate branding initiatives. Review communication materials produced by internal teams and external agencies for consistency and quality. Ensure consistency in the Company's corporate identity, messaging and visual communication. Support corporate events, exhibitions, conferences and other brand-building activities. Crisis & Reputation Management: Monitor issues that may pose reputational or communication risks to the Company. Coordinate communication responses during sensitive operational or reputational situations. Support the development and implementation of a corporate crisis communication framework. Ensure communication during crises is timely, accurate, consistent and appropriately escalated. Develop crisis communication materials, holding statements and stakeholder messaging when required. Executive Communications: Help position Company leadership as credible voices within the agricultural, poultry and business sectors. Prepare briefing materials for Management ahead of internal and external engagements. Draft speeches, presentations, leadership messages, talking points and corporate statements. Support senior Management with strategic communication and executive visibility. Events & Corporate Engagement: Support the planning and execution of corporate events, conferences, stakeholder engagements and employee programmes. Ensure key events and milestones are effectively communicated internally and externally. Develop event communication plans and promotional materials. Coordinate photography, videography, media coverage and post-event communication. Communication Measurement & Reporting: Prepare periodic communications performance reports for Management. Use data and audience insights to improve communication effectiveness. Analyse employee engagement, media coverage, digital performance and stakeholder feedback. Establish communication KPIs and monitor performance across communication channels. Qualifications & Experience: Experience: in the agriculture, poultry, FMCG, manufacturing or other fast-moving business environment will be an advantage. Demonstrable experience: managing digital and social media communications. Proven experience: developing and implementing communications strategies. Experience: in media relations and reputation management is highly desirable. A Master's degree or professional certification in Communications, Public Relations, Corporate Communications or a related field will be an advantage. Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, Media Studies or a related discipline. Experience: working with senior executives and managing sensitive corporate communications. Strong experience: in corporate writing, content development and storytelling. Minimum of 5–8 years' relevant experience, with demonstrated experience: in corporate communications, public relations, media, digital communications or a similar role.
