The procurement Specialist will possess extensive experience: in the procurement andacquisition of oil and gas equipment and services required to successfully deliver projectswithin budget, on schedule, and in full compliance with industry standards. The role demands strong capability in supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and cost optimisation, alongside a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating supply chain risks. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Sourcing Strategy & Supplier Management: Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to ensure cost-efficient and timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services. Identify, evaluate, and qualify potential suppliers based on performance history, quality standards, commercial competitiveness, and reliability. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers to support strategic partnerships and achieve optimal contractual terms. Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations to ensure compliance with company standards, HSE policies, and applicable regulatory requirements. Contract & Commercial Management: Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, terms, and conditions to secure favourable agreements aligned with organisational objectives. Manage the full contract lifecycle, including tendering processes, bid evaluations, award recommendations, and contract execution. Monitor contractual obligations to ensure adherence to agreed terms, delivery schedules, and performance expectations. Cost Control, Risk & Performance Management: Prepare detailed procurement cost reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular budgetary and performance updates to relevant stakeholders. Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, including cost overruns, deliverydelays, supply disruptions, and price fluctuations. Support cost optimisation initiatives while maintaining quality, safety, andoperational efficiency. Logistics, Quality & Data Management: Coordinate the timely and efficient delivery of materials and equipment to projectsites in line with project schedules. Ensure all procured materials and equipment meet required quality specifications, technical requirements, and industry standards. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier documentation. Manage procurement databases, approved vendor lists, and historical procurement data to support audits, reporting, and future sourcing decisions. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Minimum of 5 years’ experience: in procurement within the oil & gas EPC sector or closely related industries. Proven experience: using procurement and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, and other project management tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with the ability to interpret data and drive cost-effective outcomes. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Working knowledge of international sourcing, logistics, and import/export regulations applicable to oil and gas projects. High level of attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, andprocess adherence. Strategic mindset with the ability to align procurement activities with broader business and project objectives. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams. Experience: working with IOCs, NOCs, EPC contractors, and key industry stakeholders is highly desirable.
