Min Qualification: Degree Experience: Level: Entry level Experience: Length: 1 year Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Lagos, Nigeria Job descriptions & requirements: Responsibilities: Source and procure construction materials, plant equipment, tools, machinery, and subcontractor services. Obtain competitive quotations from approved vendors and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery timelines, and reliability. Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings without compromising quality. Raise Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and approval processes. Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors. Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost optimization and strategic sourcing. Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and the Store Team to understand procurement requirements. Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites. Resolve supplier-related issues, including delayed deliveries, shortages, and quality concerns. Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, and documentation. Prepare weekly and monthly procurement reports for management. Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and statutory regulations. Conduct supplier evaluations and periodic performance reviews. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience: in procurement within a construction or engineering company. Demonstrable knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and supplier networks in Nigeria. Experience: handling procurement for multiple construction projects simultaneously. Required Skills & Competencies: Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Excellent knowledge of construction materials and procurement processes. Cost analysis and budgeting skills. High level of integrity and ethical standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
