We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Training Manager Location: Ikorodu, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Summary The Training Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating employee training and development programs that enhance employee capabilities, operational efficiency, safety, compliance, and organizational growth. Key Responsibilities: Support succession planning, talent development, and leadership development initiatives. Maintain accurate employee training records and competency matrices. Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and post-training reviews. Coordinate internal and external trainers, consultants, and training institutions. Develop training calendars, schedules, materials, and learning programs. Monitor mandatory certifications, licenses, refresher courses, and statutory training requirements. Coordinate apprenticeships, graduate development, internships, and career development programs. Evaluate training providers and maintain a database of approved vendors. Liaise with department heads to determine training and manpower development needs. Manage the training budget and ensure effective utilization of resources. Identify competency gaps and recommend appropriate training interventions. Coordinate technical, safety, leadership, behavioral, and compliance training programs. Develop and implement the annual training and development plan. Continuously improve training programs and introduce effective learning methodologies. Coordinate employee induction and onboarding programs. Prepare periodic training reports and management presentations. Develop competency-based training programs for technical and operational employees. Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) across departments. Ensure training activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Work with HSE and operational teams to deliver safety and emergency-response training. Qualifications Professional certification in HR, Learning & Development, Training, or a related field is an added advantage. Bachelor's Degree or HND in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related discipline. CIPM, CIPD, SHRM, or other relevant professional membership is desirable. Experience: Strong experience: in Training Needs Analysis, competency management, and training evaluation. Experience: in mining, manufacturing, engineering, construction, power, or another industrial environment is highly desirable. 5–8 years of relevant experience: in Training and Development / Learning & Development.
