We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Civil Engineer Location: Lagos Responsibilities: Ensure quality of work done is consistent with Nexant values. Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design project Produce/monitor project from inception to completion. Interpretation and application of Nexant policies and procedures to the construction activities. Have understanding and good working knowledge of project plan. Carryout engineering design and assessment of new and existing structures. Prepare bills of quantity. Prepares detailed dimensional drawings for civil/structural project. Report technical issues on site to unit head Calculates cost and determines feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data. Actively involved in bringing new opportunities to the company. Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents. Produce and contribute to project reports. Carryout site inspections to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards. Assist with the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for project. Performing all quality functions relating to the role in accordance with the organization’s QMS Carry out inspection and/or structural assessment of existing structures. Ensure contractors meet agreed deadlines. Salary N150,000 - N200,000 per month.
